A.F.L stands for, Australian Football League.

There are 16 teams in the A.F.L but next year there will be 17 because Gold Coast are getting a team. This will mean that one team will have a bye each weak. Which means they don’t have to play anyone. 

The 16 teams are… (in alphabetical order)

Adelaide, Brisbane, Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon, Fremantle, Geelong, Hawthorn, Melbourne, North Melbourne, Port Adelaide, Richmond, St Kilda, Sydney, West Coast, Western Bulldogs.

A.N.Z.A.C, stands for, Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.

A.N.Z.A.C Day, is a day to remember those who went to war to save our country.                                  

War isn’t a good thing but all who went to ‘The Great Battle’ didn’t know at that stage because the officers who recruited people made it sound good with things like ‘You’ll be Heros’ and ‘Women like Soldiers’.
